Lizzie Thrasher

Lizzie brings over a decade of competitive volleyball experience, having played club volleyball from age eight through eighteen for the East Texas Juniors volleyball club. She was a four-year varsity starter on her high school team in Carthage, TX, where she played libero her freshman and sophomore seasons, and outside hitter her junior and senior seasons. She served as team captain her senior year, along with being voted as the district MVP. Following graduation, she continued her athletic career at Panola Junior College, competing as a starting defensive specialist and contributing to the team’s appearance at the NJCAA National Tournament in 2009. Her coaching background includes two years of coaching club in East Texas, as well as two additional years coaching summer league varsity programs near her hometown community.

Fun Fact: Volleyball is basically a family tradition!—Both of Lizzie’s sisters played volleyball, her dad now refs high school games for fun, and her oldest sister travels nationwide as a National referee. Now she can’t wait to bring her own knowledge and love for the game to TVA!
