Libby Pacheco is in her 17th year coaching and is currently the head coach at Byron Nelson High School. She has been the head volleyball coach at BNHS since it opened in 2009 and has also been the head coach at Colleyville Heritage and Van Alstyne. Coach Pacheco has also coached club volleyball at Texas Image and Dallas Synergy, working with 13s, 15s, 16s, and 18s teams.
Coach Pacheco played volleyball, basketball and track all through high school, earning an athletic scholarship to play basketball at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. She then transferred and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sport Science and a teaching certification in English, Physical Education, and Speech Communication.
Fun Fact: Coach Pacheco has been married to Eric for 8 years and they have a dog named Maggie. Coach Pacheco grew up in Amarillo, Texas and when home from college for the summer, she worked as a waitress at The Big Texan, home of the 72 oz. steak!
