Heather Swafford

Heather is back for her second year with TVA. She is from Argyle, Texas, but went to Denton High School where she played Right Side and was named 2nd team all-district her senior year. She started out as a student at Texas A&M, but her love for the game lead to her eventually transfer her junior year to play volleyball as a Right Side for the University of Texas at Dallas. She continued with UTD for two seasons following as a student assistant coach. Since then, Heather has continued to use her knowledge of the game giving private lessons and coaching club volleyball last year for 900vb. She is currently working in the medical field and is in nursing school as well, but continues to find time to play weekly games on a competitive women’s volleyball team.

Fun Fact: Heather is married to her husband Jay, who grew up and went to high school in the same town, but they did not meet until college. She is also a master at the game Tetris and challenges anyone to try and beat her!
